It is considered disrespectful to throw away Palo Santo + send it to landfill. The best way to dispose of Palo Santo is to return it to the earth. You can do this by allowing your Stick to cool in a ceramic or fire safe dish. Then, dig a hole in either dirt or sand outside. Place your Palo Santo Stick in the hole + cover it. This will return your Palo Santo to the earth naturally + represent the burial of the negative energy you've just cleansed.
